This Saturday.....

August 6, 2016:  Boati Gras - Yacht Club  members enter Boati Gras or support other members.  This will be an evening event starting at the Marina at 5 pm.   Marina will have prizes, trophies and food. 

 Boati Gras Royalty:  King - Dan Feuer and Town Crier - Doug Landry.  The Town Crier will recognize the 2016 King of Krewe Jesters.  Cheers will ring out for the King followed by a second line band.  After King’s Proclamation, the crowd and dancers will join a New Orleans style marching parade around the dock having traditional Kleenex and tooting their kazoos.  The King will lead his subjects to their boats.  The parade start is 6 pm.  The boats will make two passes by the judges and parade for about an  hour.  At 7 pm the King welcomes his subjects back to the dock, trophies will be awarded in 16 categories, Crescent City Combo performing Cajun music.   

Please consider dressing up your boat/pontoon and be part of the Boati Gras.  If you are not entering, we have designated an area to tie up on the right side of Marina where there are two buoys.  It is where you park; right of Marina.   After the parade and trophy presentation, we can all meet up at that area to listen to band!!  You can certainly bring your own food and BYOB or buy food at the Marina.  Hope to see you all there.
